Property: White needle crystal, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, decomposed into ammonia and ammonium bifluoride in hot water, into ammonium and hydrogen fluoride when heated.

Use: Glass etching agent, preservative for wood and brewing, disinfector, reagent for distilling rare element.
